    with Dayna Heater

    In this series, kids 5 and up have the opportunity to express themselves through movement and art. Join Dayna Heater for a class that includes breathing, yoga poses, games and mindful activities. Then, in collaboration with artist Kayti Didriksen, kids will learn drawing skills including:

     

    Week 1: Lines, Lines, Lines.

    Learn about lines, how to make them and use them to manage and express emotions.

    • Materials Needed: Variety of drawing implements such as crayons, pencils, pens, markers, paper and tape.

    Week 2: Collage Composition

    Combine collage elements in a composition to tell a story

    • Materials Needed: Various printed papers, magazines and catalogues with pictures as well as scissors and a glue stick.

    Week 3: Shapes

    Learn how to see simple shapes by tracing. Lear to use shapes as a tool to draw objects.

    • Materials Needed: 9X12 or larger tracing paper tablet, markers, catalogues or magazines with pictures of people, buildings, animals, etc.

    Week 4: Drawing a Story.

    Give your emotions a voice through character and storytelling.

    • Materials: paper, pencil, eraser, black pen.

    This four-week series takes place via Zoom on Mondays July 6, 12, 20 and 27 from 10:00-11:00 and costs $130.

  • Living Yoga Teacher Training

    Living Yoga Teacher Training, a Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour program, is designed for any yoga student or aspiring teacher seeking broader knowledge of classical yoga teachings in an accessible format and supportive environment. The program will examine the philosophical underpinnings of yoga from the lens of our modern lives and empower students to live their yoga beyond the physical practice. This program is good for students who are ready to make the sincere commitment to take their practice deeper physically, mentally and spiritually. We invite you to spend these six months with us getting stronger, building healthy habits and cultivating a more vital, conscious way of life.

    Under the direction of Alicia Moyer, ERYT-500, and Nichole Ferrigno, ERYT-200, in conjunction with the Past Tense Teacher Training team, this vinyasa yoga training is a comprehensive six-month program that will hone your teaching skills, deepen your personal yoga practice and guide you through the beautiful layers of yourself to uncover your innate wisdom.
